The SSC MTS 2026 (2025-26 cycle) Computer-Based Exam (CBE) is scheduled to start on February 4, 2026. The exam consists of two sessions, with Session 1 (Maths & Reasoning) qualifying, and Session 2 (General Awareness & English) determining merit, featuring a 45-minute limit per session.
Important Dates (2025-26 Cycle):
- Admit Card Release: By 31st January 2026.
- Tier 1/CBE Exam Dates: From 4 February 2026 onwards.
- Result: Expected around April 2026.
Exam Pattern (CBE):
- Session-I (45 mins):
- Numerical and Mathematical Ability: 20 questions (60 marks).
- Reasoning Ability and Problem Solving: 20 questions (60 marks).
- Session-II (45 mins):
- General Awareness: 25 questions (75 marks).
- English Language and Comprehension: 25 questions (75 marks).
- Marking Scheme: +3 for correct answers, -1 for wrong answers in Session II. Session I has no negative marking.
Syllabus Highlights:
- Numerical Ability: Integers, LCM/HCF, Decimals/Fractions, Percentages, Ratio/Proportions, Work and Time, Interest, Profit/Loss, Geometry, Graphs.
- Reasoning: Coding-Decoding, Analogies, Similarities, Directions, Series, Calendar/Clock.
- General Awareness: History, Geography, Civics, Economics, Art & Culture (10th standard level).
- English Language: Vocabulary, Grammar, Synonyms/Antonyms, Sentence Structure, Comprehension.
