The BSc (Hons) Nursing (Learning Disabilities) is a three-year undergraduate degree program that prepares students to become registered nurses specialized in caring for individuals with learning disabilities. The program covers a wide range of topics, including anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and mental health, as well as specific learning disabilities such as autism, Down syndrome, and intellectual disability. Through a combination of theoretical and practical learning, students develop the skills and knowledge necessary to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for individuals with learning disabilities, and to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams to promote their health, wellbeing, and social inclusion.
